The Science of Counter-Current Gas Stripping

The Heatking Degasser Tower operates on the highly proven principle of forced-draft, counter-current aeration.

  • At The Process : Raw or cation-treated water is uniformly sprayed at the top of the tower through specialized distribution nozzles. As the water trickles downward through a packed bed of high-surface-area media (Pall Rings or Raschig Rings), it breaks into thin films.
  • The Stripping Action : Simultaneously, a heavy-duty centrifugal blower pushes high-velocity clean air upwards from the bottom of the tower. This opposing airflow effectively "strips" the dissolved Carbon Dioxide (CO2) from the water droplets, venting the gas out through the top exhaust.
  • Integrated Storage : The completely degassed, purified water safely collects in the integrated storage tank located directly beneath the tower, ready to be pumped to the next stage of your water treatment plant.
